Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Medicine
Dr. McEachern is licensed for the practice of medicine and surgery in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He also received a 5 star rating from the Commonwealth for superior vaccination practices. The last two annual audits by Virginia's Vaccines for Children program demonstrated that 100% of the patients at Children’s Health Care Center are vaccinated on time in concordance with the guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (http://www.aap.org/) and the Center for Disease Control (http://www.cdc.gov/). This 100% immunization rate is an unprecedented score in the history of the Commonwealth. He has also been cited for excellence in the appropriate use of antibiotics by all major insurance carriers when compared to his peers in retrospective analyses of prescribing practices.
University of Virginia
Dr. McEachern has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine. He was selected by that institution to receive the prestigious Outstanding Clinical Preceptor award in 1999. Exceptionally fond of teaching, Dr. McEachern is honored to help educate and develop some of America’s best and brightest as they embark on their career in medicine. He is impressed with the fact that the University of Virginia is producing excellent medical students, and notes that they are a joy to work with.

Dr. McEachern serves as a clinical instructor for health professionals seeking advanced nursing degrees from Marymount, George Mason, & George Washington Universities. He applies his usual zest for teaching to these candidates and has been recognized annually for his contributions to their clinical and educational development.
